Since the three fansub groups that picked this up all stalled, here’s KonoBi. The official translation was pretty good for the most part, better than the fansubs in several cases, but it’s always nice to be able to see multiple takes on a line. The styling for the second ED is a bit gaudy, but hopefully it doesn’t stand out too much for anyone. Enjoy your thirsty JC.

Working with pingpongscans, we’ve finally gotten the Sweaty Ping Pong Girls BDs subbed just in time for the end of Bear Namek. Quite a bit of work went into toning down the more unique elements of the script and applying typesetting to the ever present whiteboards, but the anime should now match the style of the manga translations now.

This was a relatively easy project, especially coming off Illya. Mostly just the standard BD tweaks to hit archive quality. Episode 10 was a bit of an oddity in how it was presented. We’ve gone away from the standard subs and run with the game style, hopefully it’s still easy for everyone to read.

It took a lot longer than expected, but we’re finally caught up. All Prisma Illya anime content is now translated and styled consistently. The original movie subs were pretty improvised, so there are a lot more thorough changes here than in the previous seasons. Pretty much every line has been retimed, a handful of incorrect translations have been fixed, and about a third of the lines have been rewritten to read better in anime format.

And here’s season four. We’re almost there, all that’s left for now is the movie. The changes here were mostly keeping terminology consistent with previous seasons and the manga, which was cross-referenced a lot, along with the normal touch ups to bring TV speedsubs up to acceptable BD quality. The specials were an absolute mess after Mori gave up, so they’ve basically been completely redone.

And here’s 2wei part 2. We’re over halfway there. This was the point in the series where everything started being translated by different people and consistency got thrown out the window, so hopefully this will help when viewing the series as a whole. It’s kind of amusing to see the translators just making things up whenever HA lore gets referenced. Anyway, next up will be 3rei.

Continuing on with the Prisma Illya project, here’s season two. A lot of changes in this one. Most notable is giving Kuro her name back instead of inexplicably trying to localize it, but there were plenty of other changes as well, like a correction where someone thought Bazett was a member of the Church instead of the Mage’s Association. Next up is finishing 2wei with Herz.
