Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! – BD

Remember to keep your loli on a leash when taking her for a walk.

Since the three fansub groups that picked this up all stalled, here’s KonoBi.  The official translation was pretty good for the most part, better than the fansubs in several cases, but it’s always nice to be able to see multiple takes on a line.  The styling for the second ED is a bit gaudy, but hopefully it doesn’t stand out too much for anyone.  Enjoy your thirsty JC.

  1. Would you guys consider not using 24-bit flac? The bloated filesize for a benefit that’s not perceptable by human ears (it just has white noise useful for audio mastering) makes me want to re-encode the audio which will stop me from seeding.

    • That’s a somewhat divisive issue and there are certainly people who would disagree. Retaining the higher quality audio is an attempt to appease as many people as possible, as both groups can at least agree that it doesn’t sound worse than the alternatives. The typical use-case for BD versions doesn’t have tight constraints on HDD space or a pressing need for quick downloads, so a larger filesize is less of an issue here than it would be for, say, music or TV rips of airing anime. More importantly, re-encoding 24-bit FLAC to 16-bit or AAC or whatever else is a much easier process than searching out, downloading, syncing, and remuxing a higher quality audio track to replace a lower quality one with. Yes, it will prevent seeding, but having your copy just the way you want it is more important and, if you feel there is a demand, you can always release a remade version using your preferred settings and keep the series available that way. Modifications and improvements on our releases are expected and encouraged.

    • what you consider 13+GB Bloat? it’s nothing compared to Remuxed releases, FYI you can buy 2pcs. 4TB HDD if you just work half a month, sure HDDs are expensive 10years ago but not today.
